SafeTALK is a 3-hour training session designed to have participants become more alert to the signs of suicide and assist getting people to suicide first aid resources. Session runs from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. (Light supper and refreshments will be included) Pre-registration is required by calling 519-587-2441 ext. 231.
Children’s Mental Health Week is coming up May 3rd – 9th and Mental Health Week is May 4th-10th. Each year, there are several activities during this week that we hope encourages people from all walks of life to learn, talk, reflect and engage about issues relating to mental health. Again this year, there are several activities taking place in our community designed to bring people together in positive ways, promote conversations and increase awareness and understanding in our communities about the importance of mental health for children, youth and adults.
