Dental Emergency during COVID
If you or your children experience a dental emergency during COVID 19, consider whether:
It is a serious dental problem such as oral-facial trauma, significant infection, prolonged bleeding or pain that cannot be managed by over the counter medications If so, contact your local dental office by phone. If you do not have a dentist or cannot reach your dentist, visit the website for the Royal College of Dental Surgeons for help to find a dental office that is providing emergency dental care at https://www.rcdso.org/en-ca/rcdso-members/2019-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-dental-clinics-offices-offering-emergency-services
During COVID 19 it is important to maintain your oral health routine at home for your oral and overall health.
- Keep brushing 2x’s/day for 2 minutes
- Keep flossing 1x/day
- Keep healthy meal and snack times
The dental care you give yourself makes a difference! Maintaining your oral health routine during this difficult time will help to keep you well physically and mentally.
