Guidelines for Reopening Day and Overnight Camps

 

Based on the provincial announcement of the Roadmap to Reopening Plan, day camps are able to operate in Step 1, which came into effect on June 11th, 2021, and overnight camps are able to operate in Step 2, which came into effect June 30th, 2021.

Operators should continue to follow the provincial regulations for each step of the Reopening Plan, which includes what is permitted to be operating at that time and can be found: https://www.ontario.ca/page/emergency-information

The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit advises as per the Ontario Regulations, that all operators of day camps or overnight camps, shall follow the COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for Day Camps or the COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for Overnight Camps which are provided by the Ministry of Health and can be found on their webpage.

Recommendations or requirements related to the COVID-19 pandemic, are updated and amended frequently, we strongly recommend that operators review the most up to date regulations and guidelines frequently, as It is the responsibility of the facility operator to ensure they are in compliance with all regulations and guidelines related to day camps and overnight camps.
