Preventing Indoor Trip Hazards
Approximately sixty percent of falls happen inside the home. Trips and falls are often the result of environmental factors that can easily be fixed. Scatter rugs, clutter, poor lighting and lack of grab bars in the bathroom are some of the more common hazards leading to indoor falls. The good news is that ninety percent of falls that happen indoors can be prevented simply by modifying the home environment.
