My daughter’s been asking about the HPV shot the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit offers to girls in Grade 8.  She says some of her friends aren’t getting the shot because they’re not having sex.  We went on the Health Unit’s website and learned it’s not about whether you’re having sex or not, it’s about keeping yourself healthy. HPV can cause cervical and vaginal cancer AND it’s the leading cause of genital warts.
