We’ve been talking at school about an HPV vaccine that helps prevent cervical and vaginal cancer.  My friends are nervous about getting the shot, plus we’re not even having sex.  I talked to my mom and she spoke to a nurse at the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit who answered all our questions. She said HPV is a virus that causes certain types of cancer and 90% of genital warts. I don’t EVER want any of that. One day when I’m older I’ll have sex, and I want protection from HPV.
