HNHU Advises of Potential Health Risk – Sour Natural Gas Well, Langton
August 18, 2017 – The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit is aware of significant levels of hydrogen sulfide ((H 2S) related to a gas well on a rural property located on the 10 Concession Road, Langton.
Health Unit staff are working with the appropriate property owners, County and Ministry officials to provide support towards the goal of having the issue addressed quickly.
As a precaution, Norfolk County Fire and Rescue Services closed 10th Concession road between Forestry Farm Road and East Quarter Line, but after consultation with partnering agencies, the road was reopened.
