Outbreak declared at Evergreen Heights Child Care Centre
The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit (HNHU) has declared an enteric disease outbreak at the Evergreen Heights Child Care Centre in Simcoe.
The HNHU is working closely with Evergreen Heights Child Care Centre to implement a public health management plan.
Thirty-nine students and staff have symptoms of gastroenteritis, with vomiting and diarrhea being the main symptoms.
All symptomatic persons have been sent home and the daycare centre has closed for the next five days.
The HNHU will continue to provide updates as they become available.
