Air quality statement has ended for Haldimand and Norfolk
The air quality statement issued on Wednesday, June 7, has ended for Haldimand and Norfolk counties. Environment Canada has stated that smoke is no longer expected or has moved out of this area.
It is important to note that the statement could be reissued at any time. Members of the public can check the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) for the closest air quality monitoring station (Brantford and Hamilton) to see the current outdoor air quality. The AQHI can change quickly and should be checked regularly. When the Air Quality Health Index is “high” or “very high” consider reducing or rescheduling strenuous activities.
Additional information can be found on the Government of Canada website.
