Vaccine Eligibility

  • Individuals who are 60 years of age and older and Indigenous persons and their household members over the age of 18 years are now eligible for an additional booster (i.e. fourth dose). Booster doses for these groups are recommended at an interval of five months (140 days) after the previous dose but can be received at a minimum interval of three months (84 days).
  • 12 to 17-year-olds are eligible to receive a booster dose (i.e. third dose) 6 months (168 days) after their second dose.
  • If you have recently had COVID-19 you are still eligible for a first, second, or booster dose of the vaccine. Residents should wait until they are out of isolation and symptoms have resolved to receive their next dose. The NACI recommendation for the COVID-19 vaccine after COVID-19 infection is to wait up to three months after infection to receive the next dose.
