Grand Erie Public Health Advises of Four New Measles Exposure Locations

Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) is advising community members of four new measles exposure locations in our region. Exposure to the measles virus may have occurred at the following locations, dates, times as indicated:

  • Blue Elephant, 96 Norfolk St S, Simcoe, on February 19, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Dover Dental, 18 Chapman St E, Port Dover, on February 21, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Flux Brewery, 185 Oakland Rd, Scotland, on February 21, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Norfolk General Hospital Emergency Department, 365 West St. on February 26, 2025, from 6:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Grand Erie Public Health is notifying identified contacts who may have been exposed to the measles virus.

If you were at these locations during these times, were born in 1970 or later, and are not up to date with your vaccinations, please contact your primary healthcare provider or call public health at 519-753-4937 ext. 454 or 905-318-6623 ext. 3438.

If you have been exposed to measles in our community, please fill in our measles exposure form at www.geph.ca/measlesform. The purpose of the form is to collect information on individuals who have been exposed to measles and provide appropriate guidance to reduce the chance of infection where possible and limit further spread of the virus. Individuals who may have been exposed to measles at a confirmed exposure location may receive an automated call with guidance on next steps and to complete the exposure form.
