Grand Erie Public Health Confirms Two Additional Cases of Measles

Simcoe, Ont. – Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) is investigating two additional confirmed cases of measles in the Haldimand-Norfolk area. There are currently 12 confirmed cases in the Grand Erie region, which includes Haldimand County, Norfolk County, Brantford, and Brant County.

These newly confirmed cases are two children that are currently recovering at home. The infection source for these individuals is unknown at this time. GEPH is investigating and following up with known contacts who may have been exposed to the measles virus through these individuals.

At this time, the investigation has determined that those at the following location may have been exposed to the measles virus:

  • Walsingham Christian School, 6th Concession Rd., Walsingham, between January 21 – 23 from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
