Grand Erie Public Health Launches Search for Medical Officer of Health
Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) has begun recruitment for a Medical Officer of Health (MOH) for the newly merged health unit. This pivotal role will lead the organization in promoting and protecting the health of our diverse communities across the City of Brantford, County of Brant, Haldimand County, and Norfolk County.
The former Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit and the Brant County Health Unit, now Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) is dedicated to fostering healthy communities through prevention, education, and collaboration. The Medical Officer of Health will play a crucial role in guiding public health priorities, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations, and advancing health equity and program/service integration.
The MOH will serve as the senior public health official for GEPH, providing expert leadership in population and community health, health protection, and disease prevention. This role involves working closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the senior leadership team to shape strategy, lead public health transformation, and build trust across communities, governments, and partners.
The executive search will be conducted in partnership with LHH Knightsbridge, a leading executive search firm. For more information about the medical officer of health position and to apply, visit www.bchu.org/employment or www.hnhu.org/employment.
