HNHU reports provincial update to COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Testing program
The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit (HNHU) reports that effective immediately, publicly funded COVID-19 testing will only be available to:
- Ontarians eligible for COVID-19 treatment (i.e., symptomatic individuals who are immunocompromised, or 65 years of age or older, or those with high-risk medical conditions).
- People in high-risk and some congregate living settings (including long-term care homes) and other specific populations to support outbreak prevention and management.
Haldimand-Norfolk residents are encouraged to speak with their health care provider or pharmacy if they fall into a high-risk category and meet eligibility criteria for treatment and develop a plan in advance.
Please note Rapid Antigen Tests are no longer available to distribute to the public at the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit.
