Help improve health and social services in your community by taking survey

Sept. 24 – Haldimand-Norfolk Health and Social Services wants to hear what residents across the two counties think about its many programs and services.

That’s why staff have launched the Community Needs Assessment survey, designed to take the pulse of the population when it comes to all things public health, social services, housing and more.

The survey can be done online or over the phone and is available in English, French and Spanish.

Questions cover a wide range of topics, including respondents’ ability to access social services and healthcare, eating and exercise habits, family make-up, housing situation and more.

The data will go a long way in helping staff refine and improve the services they deliver to the approximately 100,000 residents of Haldimand and Norfolk.

“Resident feedback is one of the best ways for us to understand what people need and where, so this survey is incredibly important,” says Chimere Okoronkwo, Director of Health and Social Services’ Quality, Planning, Accountability and Performance department. “The more people who take part in the Community Needs Assessment, the more data we have – and the more data we have, the better we can plan for the future.”

The Community Needs Assessment survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and will be open until Sept. 30. It can be completed by phone by calling 519-426-6170 ext. 3274.

Respondents will be entered into a draw for one of three $25 gift cards to a local grocery store.

Haldimand-Norfolk Health and Social Services deliver a variety of services that build and sustain the community, in the areas of public health employment, children’s services, housing and more.
