Appointments for those awaiting second dose of COVID-19 vaccine to be rescheduled
New direction from the Province has resulted in a change to the COVID-19 vaccination schedule.
Starting immediately, the period between the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine will be extended.
Those who have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and are scheduled to receive the second dose will not receive the second dose as currently scheduled.
This is pursuant to the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) recommendation found online here and the Government of Ontario’s directive online here.
Those who will have the date for their second dose changed will be contacted by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit, however this process will take time.
If you are scheduled for a second dose, please do not contact the Health Unit about your appointment. You will be contacted about scheduling a new vaccination date.
