Status updates
• The Province of Ontario officially moved to Phase 2 of the vaccine rollout on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
• The HNHU administered its 20,000th dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
• Approximately 21.2% of adults in Haldimand and Norfolk Counties have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
• Individuals 70 and above, as well as individuals with highest-risk health conditions as defined by the Ministry of Health, are currently eligible to receive a vaccine.
Online booking tool information
• The HNHU’s COVID-19 Vaccination Online Booking tool is now live. The online booking tool allows eligible candidates to book their vaccination appointment online at any of the mass clinic or hospital hub sites. The Online Booking tool is available
• The Online Booking tool is just one way that the HNHU is responding to high call volumes and prioritizing getting eligible candidates vaccinated as quickly as possible. Individuals who are unable to book online for any reason are still welcome to call the Vaccine Hotline at 519-427-5903 or e-mail [email protected] for support.
• General inquiries about the vaccine, Ministry of Health Guidance, and more, can be directed to the Province’s Vaccine General Inquiries line at 1-888-999-6488.
Making an appointment
• All individuals 70 and above who live in Haldimand or Norfolk may now use the online booking tool to book an appointment. Individuals who are unable to book online may contact the Vaccine hotline (519-427-5903 or [email protected]) to set up an appointment.

Note: Highest-risk health conditions were identified by the Province’s Ministry of Health and include: organ transplant recipients, stem cell transplant recipients, patients with neurological diseases that impact respiratory function, patients with hematological malignancies diagnosed in the last year, or individuals with kidney diseases and an eGFR reading of <30.
• Individuals aged 65-69 (born in the years 1952-1956) can now add their names to a wait-list for potential end of day appointments (due to cancellations, no-shows, etc). Lists of individuals aged 70+ will be exhausted first. Eligible individuals will only be contacted if there are available doses at end of day at the various clinic locations.
