Province expands eligibility for booster doses of COVID-19 vaccine
The Ontario government has expanded eligibility for booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to additional groups of high-risk individuals.
Booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be available to the following populations if at least six months have passed since their last dose:
- Individuals aged 70 and over (born in 1951 or earlier);
- Healthcare workers and designated essential caregivers in congregate settings
- Individuals who received two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine or one dose of the Janssen vaccine; and
- First Nation, Inuit, and Metis adults, and their non-Indigenous household members
Eligible individuals can book their booster dose appointment at a community clinic online at hnhu.org/popup, or by phone at 519-427-5903.
All booster doses at these clinics require a booked appointment. Walk-ins will only be accepted for first or second doses at clinics – and are pending vaccine supply.
