Teacher Companion Guide

  • Created to assist Grade 5 teachers in meeting the Substance Use, Addictions, and Related Behaviours requirements that are in the New Grade 5 Ontario Health and Physical Education Curriculum and the Science and Technology Curriculum

Project ALERT(Gr. 7 & 8) 

  • Site offers fourteen easy-to-follow lessons, all available for free download. Each lesson includes implementation hints, reference materials and handouts that you can email directly to your students. Site also offers free online training for educators. *US resource

  • British Columbia-based lesson plans which focus on drug literacy and helping young people develop the knowledge and skills they need to survive and thrive in a world where caffeine, tobacco, alcohol and other drug use is common.
  • Consists of a wide range of learning ideas that can be easily incorporated into various curricular areas such as Social Studies, English Language Arts, Science and other subjects and settings
