Teacher Companion Guide

  • Created to assist Grade 5 teachers in meeting the Substance Use, Addictions, and Related Behaviours requirements that are in the New Grade 5 Ontario Health and Physical Education Curriculum and the Science and Technology Curriculum
  • Activities and lessons, delivered through an engaging student workbook and classroom discussion, allow students to explore the social and environmental factors that affect their choices, including decisions around alcohol use

Truth About Drugs Educators Kit (Gr. 7-12)

  • Resource includes an Educator’s Guide with 18 Lesson Plans, a 142-minute ‘The Truth About Drugs’ documentary on DVD, a 24-piece classroom set of 13 booklets with information on the most commonly abused drugs

Project ALERT(Gr. 7 & 8)

  • Site offers fourteen easy-to-follow lessons, all available for free download. Each lesson includes implementation hints, reference materials and handouts that you can email directly to your students. Site also offers free online training for educators. *US resource
