On March 30, 2021, several members of the Haldimand-Norfolk Board of Health – including Chair, Mayor Kristal Chopp – met with Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Williams, and representatives from the Ministry of Health.

While the nature of the meeting is confidential – the Board of Health would like the community to know that a number of recent concerns brought forward to members were discussed.

The Board of Health has also retained Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, a Toronto law firm specializing in administrative law and the Health Protection and Promotion Act, to report directly to the Board of Health on a number of matters of immediate concern.

The Board of Health will discuss recent directives issued by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit at their upcoming meeting, April 7, 2021.
