Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit Providing Additional Booster Doses to Eligible Residents

The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit (HNHU) is now offering COVID-19 booster doses to an expanded eligibility group, following the recent announcement from the provincial Ministry of Health.

Individuals who are 60 years of age and older and Indigenous persons and their household members over the age of 18 years are now eligible for an additional (i.e. fourth) booster dose. Booster doses for these groups are recommended at an interval of five months (140 days) after the previous dose but can be received at a minimum interval of three months (84 days).

At this time the HNHU and Norfolk General Hospital vaccination clinics require an appointment to accommodate increased demand. Appointments can be booked at www.hnhu.org/popup. GOVaxx Buses will continue to receive walk-ins at this time. Many amazing local partners continue to offer COVID-19 vaccines, including local primary care providers and pharmacies.

A full schedule of COVID-19 vaccine clinics and GOVaxx buses can be found online at www.hnhu.org/popup.
