Members of Phase One priority groups without a local family physician urged to call Health Unit to schedule vaccination
In an effort to ensure anyone who wants a COVID-19 vaccination receives one, the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit is asking anyone 80 years of age or older, as well as high-risk healthcare workers, who do not have a family physician in Haldimand or Norfolk or who do not have a family physician at all to call or email the vaccination team to make an appointment for a vaccination.
Appointments can be made by calling 519-427-5903 or emailing [email protected].
High-risk healthcare workers, as defined by the province, include all hospital and acute care staff in front line roles with COVID-19 patients and/or with a high-risk of exposure to COVID-19, patient-facing health care workers involved in COVID-19 response, first responders, and community healthcare workers serving specialized populations.
The full list can be found here.
Nearly 10,000 residents of Haldimand and Norfolk have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 1,500 are completely vaccinated.
